A deficient chakra means that you have weakness or avoidance around the issues of the chakra. Deficiency in this chakra can lead to decreased physical and emotional energy and lack of self-discipline.
When the solar plexus is weak, we lack energy, and have no will power and low self esteem. We may be sluggish or inactive, due to shame around being judged.
A classic example is failing to act because of fear of failure in which case, you fail before you even start.
A deficient solar plexus chakra may lead to digestive problems, and a passive victim mentality. Those with a weak third chakra have often given their power to another person, or an external source. Self discipline will be lacking, as well as the ability to follow through.
Symptoms of Deficiency
- low energy, passive, unreliable
- weak will, easily manipulated
- poor self discipline and follow through
- cold, emotionally and or physically
- poor digestion
- collapsed middle
- attraction to stimulants
- victim mentality, blaming of others.
If a chakra is excessive, you overcompensate with actions to try to heal that chakra. Excessive solar plexus chakra causes aggression, manipulation, and deceit, often leading to controlling, competitive, stubborn, and overly ambitious behaviour.
If the solar plexus chakra is excessive, we have a tendency to control other people and situations. We may be overly active, and have a very hard time slowing down or finding stillness. We may come off as aggressive, dominating, manipulative and power hungry.
We don’t have any trouble taking action, and thus often have great accomplishments under our belt. However, there is a strong likelihood they we will push until there is nothing left, and end up burning out. This is your classic ‘Type A’ personality.
Excessive Symptoms
- overly aggressive, dominating, controlling
- need to be right, have last word
- manipulative, power hungry, deceitful
- attraction to sedatives
- temper tantrums, violent outbursts
- stubbornness, arrogant & hyperactive
- driving ambition (Type A personality)
- overly competitive.
